Water Buffalo

Perplexing, bizarre, terrifying, inspiring. I’ve been a Björk fan since college. The woman has no boundaries, and her creativity is otherworldly. Here’s what I’m talking about. What am I supposed to say about this? I can’t quite put my finger on what’s so unsettling about it: how was it made? What’s CG and what’s stop-motion? What’s live action? WHAT’S GOING ON? It’s eerie and great, and it had me captivated from the first visible frame. I bet the 3D version it was originally introduced in–if, in fact, it was the kind requiring the glasses–would’ve been mind-blowing.
